Summit French Toast: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz French bread

  • 1/3 cup Half n Half

  • 2/3 cup Orange Juice

  • 1/4 cup Sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla

  • 4 Eggs

  • 1/3 cup Butter

  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans

Step 1:

Cut french bread into 8 pieces approx 1 inch thick. Place into 9x13 baking pan.

Step 2:

Whip eggs until well blended. Add half n half, salt, juice, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix well. Pour mixture over bread to coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and place in frig overnight.

Step 3:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove pan from frig at least 30 minutes before baking. Melt 1/3 cup of butter and spread on cookie sheet. Remove bread from baking pan and place on cookie sheet spacing about 1/2 inch apart. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with homemade orange sauce.
