1/3 cup lemon juice or lime juice (preferably Key Lime)
1 can Red sour pitted cherries or cherry pie filling
Sugar to taste
Beat softened cream cheese until smooth
Add sweetened condensed milk
Add lemon or lime juice (or cranberry or...)
At this point you have a delicious bowl of cream cheese.
You may put it into a graham cracker pie crust and let it set up in the refrigerator.
Before serving, mix the cherries with some sugar to taste and spread on top of the pie - or use cherry pie filling
Or You may put it into demi-tasse cups, top with chocolate chips or fresh fruit
Or you may put dollops on fresh fruit for breakfast
Or spread it between slices of French toast and top with maple syrup
Or take Pillsbury crescent rolls, separate them, spread the cream cheese mixture on each one, top with sweetened cherries, roll up and bake till brown in a 350 degree oven.
