snowflake baked French toast: Appetizer-Snack

Prep time:15minutes

Step 1:

In a 9x13 inch pan melt one cube (one half cup) butter in microwave for 1 minute. Add one half cup maple syrup. Stir to mix.

Step 2:

Place 8 slices of soft crusted French bread in the pan on top of the butter/syrup mixture.

Step 3:

In a small bowl beat together one half cup half and half and 3 large eggs. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the slices of French toast. Cover and refrigerate over night.

Step 4:

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle powdered sugar to form a snow flake pattern. Serve with warm maple syrup of chokecherry syrup.
