Sour Cream Almond Coffee Cake: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Margarine softened

  • 1 cup Sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1 cup Sour Cream

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract

  • 2 cups Flour

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1 cup Flour for Topping

  • 1 cup Sugar for Topping

  • 1 cup Cold Margarine cut into small pieces for topping

  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract for Topping

  • 1 cup Sliced Almonds for Topping

Step 1:

Beat margarine and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, sour cream, vanilla and almond extract. Beat until well blended.

Step 2:

Gradually beat in the dry ingredients on low speed until well blended.

Step 3:

Spread evenly into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.

Step 4:

Mix together topping ingredients. Sprinkle half of topping over each loaf.

Step 5:

Bake at 325 for 40-45 minutes.
