Coffee Chocolate Chip Biscotti: Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder

  • 1/3 cup Butter

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1 cup Coarsely Chopped Toasted Pecans

  • 1 Egg white

  • 1 tablespoon Expresso Granules

  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 4 oz Whole Eggs

Step 1:

Beat and set aside, i egg white In mixer, beat together; butter, brown sugar, sugar and expresso granules. Add and mix well, eggs and vanilla.

Step 2:

Mix together and stir into batter; flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir in choolate chips and pecans.

Step 3:

Divide dough in half. Lay logs on sprayed, parchment lined pan and brush with egg white. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Step 4:

Remove and cool. Slice each log into 1/2 inch slices. Return to oven and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Makes approximately 36 bars.
