Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 Large Apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 cup Sour Cream

  1. Mix the apples walnuts, cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar in a medium bowl and set aside.
  2. Cream together in a seperate bowl, the butter, 1 cup sugar, eggs, and vanilla, add in the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda, mix well, add in the sour cream and mix until smooth.
  3. Pour 1/2 of the batter mixture into a greased angel food cake pan, add 1/2 of the apple mixture then add the balance of the batter and top with the remaining apple mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes, cool on wire rack 1/2 hour before removing from pan.
