Lemon-Orange Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 lb confectioners sugar
  • 2 lemons, grated rind
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 oranges, granted rind
  • 7 tablespoons orange juice (enough to make frosting easy to spread)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened but not melted
  • 3 egg yolks

  1. Mix butter and confectioners sugar, then add other ingredients. This cake when iced should be kept in a tight cake container and in refrigeration due to the frosting being uncooked.
