Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 2-3 mashed very ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup raisens

  1. Mix bananas in mixer, add eggs, sugar, butter and beat well
  2. Add salt, baking soda, baking powder and flour and blend until smooth. Add raisens and mix.
  3. Put into greased (or brown paper on bottom) 9x5x3 loaf pan and bake at 350 degree oven for about 1 hour. Cool and remove from pan and serve with cream cheese, jam, or butter.
  4. Recipe can be doubled. Can also be baked in smaller loaf pans with adjusted baking time. Additions or substitutions of dried fruits can be made in place of raisens.
  5. Guests love it!
