Liege Waffles

Servings: 4


  • 1/2 lb Butter
  • 1/2 lb Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 lb Flour
  • 1 oz Vanillated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Salad Oil or equivalent

  1. Warm the butter until it is almost melted. Mix the sugar with it and whisk the eggs, one for one, into the mass. Mix with the flour and the vanillated sugar, stir vigorously and add the oil. Continue until you have a homogeneous dough. Heat the waffle iron and grease it. Pour the dough unto the iron with two tea spoons. Bake the waffles golden brown.
