BRADFORD PLACE POACHED PEARS: Breakfast-Brunch

Prep time:35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 8 Fresh pears, Bosc or Bartlett

  • 4 cups Apple Juice

  • 2 tablespoons Whole cloves

  • 1 cup Frozen blueberries

  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar

  • 1 cup Fruit yogurt, blended preferred

Step 1:

Peel pears and place in apple juice with cloves in a microwave safe dish. Microwave 15 minutes. Turn over pears and cook another 15 minutes or until toothpick can be inserted easily into pears.

Step 2:

Remove from oven. Place sugar and blueberries in a separate container and microwave 40-50 seconds. Remove.

Step 3:

Arrange each pear on a flat dessert or other small plate by making 4-6 vertical slices from near the stem through the core to the bottom. Fan out the slices.

Step 4:

Place a dollop of yogurt on each pear topped off with some blueberries and their juice. Garnish with an edible flower from your garden! Pansies and carnations work great!
