With a wire wisk, beat eggs well. Blend in syrup, sugar, melted butter and vanilla.
Spread chopped pecans on the bottom of the pie shell. Pour mixture on top of chopped pecans, allow mixture to completely cover the pecans.
Bake in oven for 45 minutes. Check the doneness by "giggling" the pie pan. If it "giggles" in the middle, bake for another 10 to 15 minutes. Do not over-cook! Allow to cool, then enjoy with your favorite topping...vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, etc.
Quadruple the ingredients and mak four at a time. Freeze the unused pies, and thaw as needed by the slice or by the whole pie. Enjoy! Kelly & Janice Canady
