Bircher Muesli: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup old fashione oatmeal

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup Yogurt, non fat, plain

  • 2 each, medium si Granny Smith Apple

  • 1/8 cup walnuts

  • 1/2 cup whipped cream

  • 1/8 cup sugar or honey

Step 1:

place oatmeal into a container and top it with cold water. Let it sit over night in refrigerator.

Step 2:

place oatmeal into a mixing bowl, add yogurt, sweetner, walnuts (other kinds may be substitutes) mix thoroughly.

Step 3:

Cut apples in quarter wedges, remove core and stem, use course cheese grater tool and grate apples with skin into oatmeal mix. Add whipped cream or cool whip and fold into the mix.

Step 4:

Place ito serving dish and garnish with seasonal fresh berries or banana slices. Use your imagination.

Step 5:

This must be mmade fresh to assure proper texture and taste. It is not recommended to carry it into another days meal. This recipe is designed to provide a balanced meal and was developed by a Swiss doctor to cure stomoch ailments.
