Breakfast Granola: Breakfast-Brunch

Prep time:45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups quick oats

  • 1 cup sliced almonds

  • 1 cup walnuts

  • 1 cup flaked coconut

  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds

  • 1/2 cup hulled sunflower seeds

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil

  • 2/3 cup honey or maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

  • 1 cup raisins

Step 1:

Combine first six ingredients in a large bowl.

Step 2:

In a saucepan, comine oil, honey or syrup and vanilla. Cook over low heat until well blended and warm.

Step 3:

Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into a large baking pan and bake at 325 degrees about 45 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes.

Step 4:

Remove from oven, add raisins and stir again.

Step 5:

Let cool thoroughly and store in plastic bag. Serve with milk or plain yogurt. Freezes well. Makes aout 8 cups.
