Strawberry-Raspberry Waffle Topping: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz container Frozen Sliced Strawberries (sugar added)

  • 1 cup Frozen Whole Raspberries

  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch

Step 1:

Thaw strawberries in refrigerator overnight. Pour contents into a heavy saucepan.

Step 2:

Measure the cornstarch into the pan and mix with a whisk until the cornstarch is dissolved. Add the sugar.

Step 3:

Turn on the stove to medium heat, stirring constantlyuntil the mixture is smooth, thickened and clear.

Step 4:

Add the frozen raspberries and stir until mixed. Remove from heat.

Step 5:

Serve over waffles as an alternative to the traditional maple syrup.
