Mary Forester's Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon organic white flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour, again beating well.
  2. Stir buttermilk into sugar mixture. Mix well; pour into unbaked pie shell.
  3. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes, until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Guests enjoy this pie warm from the oven, or chilled the next day!
