Overnight Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

  1. cream butter, sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar. add egg and stir till creamed mixture.
  2. mix dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
  3. combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg for topping.
  4. pour batter into a greased 8" pan. Add topping. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 for 40-45 min.
