Washington Baked Pears

Ingredients

  • 6 Fresh Washington Pears
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Pecans
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • Whiiped Cream

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Core each pear, leaving bottom intact. Cut a hairline cirle around the middle of each pear, just piercing the skin.
  3. In a small bowl, combine sugar, spices, nuts, and raisins.
  4. Fill pears with mixture and dot with butter. Arrange pears upright in a small baking dish. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until pears are tender. Cool for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream
