Overnight Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup Butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup Flour (I use 1 c whole wheat and 1 cup white)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup yogurt (or buttermilk)

  1. Preheat oven to 350º. Sift first 5 ingredients. Cream butter & sugars; add eggs. Add in dry flour mixture w/yogurt. Spread dough in greased & floured 9x13 pan.
  2. Sprinkle w/topping. Topping: Combine 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  3. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Bake at 350º for 45 mins. Freezes well.
