Birk's Apple Syrup for French Bread Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
  • 1 cup apple cider or juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a saucepan and mix thoroughly together.
  2. Pour in liquids and stir.
  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture begins to boil. Continue stirring for 2 minutes more, will have thickened by then.
  4. Remove from heat and add in butter, stir until butter melts.
  5. Serve with Birk's French Bread Casserole
