Spray a 9"X11" pan with a non-stick cooking spray. Slice bread into 16 1" slices. Place bread in pan in two layers.
Mix eggs, cream, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Pour mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
For topping: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, syrup and pecans well. Spoon over top of bread. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Serve with warm syrup. And enjoy.
