Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Cream brown sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Sift together baking powder and soda add remaining dry ingredients. Mix together wet and dry ingredients. Chill dough. Form into balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on cookie sheets and press balls down. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
