Cheddar Dill Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley Flakes (Dried)
  • 1 teaspoon Dill weed (Dried)
  • 3/4 cup Margarine
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Half-and-half

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder, parsley flakes, dill and salt.
  2. Using either a food processor or a pastry blender, cut in margarine until mixture resembles oatmeal. Mix in cheddar cheese.
  3. Beat eggs with half-and-half. Stir into flour mixture using a fork.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about a minute. Divide dough in half. Pat each half into an 8 inch circle. Cut each circle into 8 wedges.
  5. Place scones on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 12 - 15 minutes, or until golden.
