Bayfront Baked French Toast: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French bread

  • 8 Eggs

  • 2 cups Milk

  • 1 1/2 cups Half-n-Half Cream

  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon, ground

  • 3/4 cups Butter

  • 1 cup Brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Corn syrup, light

Step 1:

Butter a 9x13 baking dish; arrange the slices of break in the bottom.

Step 2:

In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour over bread slices, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

Step 3:

The next morning, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 4:

In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Heat until bubbling. Pour over bread and egg mixture.

Step 5:

Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 40 minutes.
