Maple Syrup French Toast: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:
1 half inch thick Ric's Cinnamon Bread from Lancaster PA Central Market

2 Eggs

1/2 cup Cream
-
1/2 teaspoon Real Vanilla

2 tablespoons Butter
-
2 tablespoons Real Maple Syrup (Prefer Cat's Den New Hampshire)

2 tablespoons Whipped Cream for garnish

Fresh Mint for Garnish
-
2 Strawberries nestled in Mint for garnish
Step 1:
A hot griddle is a must. Melt butter onto griddle Cut cinnamon bread into 1/2 inch slices. Dip cinnamon bread into the following mixture:

Mix eggs, vanilla and cream together. Dip your bread in egg mixture so both sides are covered quickly. Place onto hot griddle with melted butter. One to two minutes browning on each side. After bread is brown on each side I pour a small amount of real maple syrup on french toast. Flip piece of bread over and place a small amount on other side of bread and flip over until caramelized, one to two minutes.
Step 3:
Place three pieces on plate, garnish with whip cream, fresh mint and strawberries. Serve with scrambled eggs and local bacon. We also accompany this dish with fresh fruit and juice! You must serve this dish quickly or your whip cream will melt. This french toast is like eating a grilled cinnamon bun! Your going to love it.
