Ginger Crinkles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

  1. Cream margarine and sugar together. Add egg and beat well. Mix in remaining ingredients. Chill dough. Form dough into small balls and roll in granulated sugar. Sprinkle each ball with 2 or 3 drops of water create the crinkle effect. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
