May Farm B&B is a six room fully equipped inn which includes 2 self-catering studio “suites.” The main house, a circa 1790 Vermont farmhouse, includes four attractive traditional “bed and breakfast” guest rooms each with a private, en suite bath; large double living room with gas fireplace and a dining room plus a large, fully equipped kitchen with owners’ dining area. All guest accommodations except one have either king or queen beds and four have fireplaces. Three accommodations are on the second floor while the fourth overlooks the hot tub deck on the first floor with a private entrance. TVs, air conditioning and hair dryers complete the guest amenities in each room.
The two self-catering accommodations are located in the adjacent Carriage House which is just a few steps from the main inn as well as the three level hot tub deck. Each has a king-size bed, private en suite bath, gas fireplace and is designed with distinct eating, sitting and sleeping areas. Each is outfitted with a refrigerator, microwave oven, electric skillet, coffee maker, toaster and sufficient dishes and utensils.
The owners’ quarters are quiet and spacious and have expansion potential. The property was completely renovated between 2001-2004 and is a 100% turnkey operation
May Farm B&B is located in Waterbury Center—halfway between I-89 and Stowe. Four major ski areas are a one-half hour drive or less from May Farm Waterbury-Stowe is a year-round recreational draw offering skiing (alpine and Nordic), dog sledding, skating, sleigh rides and much more in the winter and hiking, boating, fishing, antiquing in the summer. Local attractions include the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory, Cold Hollow Cider Mill and the State Capitol in nearby Montpelier. Restaurants abound in the area from the best American/European gourmet cuisine to pizza and burgers (but no fast food).
