Welcome to the Fowler House B&B, a luxurious Queen Anne Victorian Inn located in the heart of Altus, Oklahoma. Built by pioneer doctor, J.E. Fowler, in 1903, the Fowler House now boasts four beautiful guest rooms. Each has a king size bed, private bath with dual-headed marble shower, electric fireplace, bathrobes & slippers, fine linens, and cable TV/DVD. Enjoy a hot gourmet breakfast in the dining room, tea in the living room, or a good book in the library. We feature original architecture, fine art, and classic antiques. Jim, an active-duty Air Force Force pilot, and his Art Historian wife, Lesley have catered to each individual guest to make their stay memorable! Though it has been an incredibly rewarding experience for Jim and Lesley, duty calls, and they must move on to their next project! The Fowler House has been completely renovated to the highest standards of quality and luxury, while retaining the charm and nostalgia of the early 20th Century. The grounds feature a two car carriage house, a massive storage building (6 car garage) with power door. The yard is entirely enclosed by an original stacked stone wall, to which we have added an attractive wrought-iron fence to insure maximum privacy and security. Installed around the exterior of the home, are infrared security cameras. The roof was replaced in 2009. The owners quarters are just as beautiful and luxurious as the rest of the house, consisting of 1200 square feet of living space, with plenty of storage. Water heaters throughout are tankless, never-ending hot water. Kitchen appliances are top of the line and stainless. The kitchen is vintage in appearance, though well equipped and modern, with tons of storage! The owners were granted a government contract with Altus Air Force Base, to accommodate long term students and visiting dignitaries. It is up to you whether to accept nightly guests or to keep the long term students. We have hosted numerous weddings, receptions, celebrations, and corporate functions and meetings.
