Historic home situated at the heart of the North Olympic Peninsula in Washington state, at the gateway entrance to the Olympic National Park and to the international ferry terminal to Victoria, B.C. Port Angeles has a temperate, marine climate with mild temperatures and is sheltered by the Olympic rain shadow (average annual precipitation of 22-25 inches). These factors make the location of this B&B attractive year round. Off-season travelers from larger regional markets of Seattle, Portland, OR and British Columbia supplement summer tourism revenue. Annually, over 4 million people visit the nearby Olympic National Park; most stay several days or longer and many return.
This is the perfect opportunity to live, play and work in one of the most scenic places in the country. It's all here for you and for your guests that will be staying with you. Hiking, beachcombing, fishing, sailing, boating, wonderful award winning wineries, gourmet restaurants, fresh air, sunshine, clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean and the year-round lush green of the forest. Port Angeles is just two hours from Seattle and 1 1/2 hours from Victoria, B.C. It is the largest city on the Olympic Peninsula with Peninsula College, a regional hospital, a deepwater harbor and a US Coast Guard base. The B&B is located just 11 blocks (.5 mile) from the Olympic Discovery Trail that parallels the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Mt. Angeles and the Olympic National Park are just minutes away.
The home was built in 1926 and was renovated in 1996 to better support the bed and breakfast lifestyle. Innkeepers quarters allow for privacy for the innkeepers in a comfortable apartment setting with panoramic water view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The B&B is situated on 2 1/2 city lots, equating to approximately 1/2 acre, with extensive gardens and water features on the grounds that also afford panoramic mountain and water views. Five guestrooms, all with private en suite baths, are elegantly appointed with antique furnishings. A dream come true
