It is home to 5 military bases and many defense businesses supporting our military. The area has 8 universities, 4 community colleges, a medical school and research hospitals. Close to one of the nation’s busiest ports and rail terminals, the area is a major business center. Barclay Cottage Bed and Breakfast provides government and business travelers a respite from their busy days throughout the year.
Barclay Cottage has five guestrooms. Three rooms have queen beds and private baths (two with jetted spa-tubs). Two rooms share a bathroom located across the hall from them. One has a king bed and the other two twins that may be configured as a Euro-king with special mattress topper. Each is decorated individually, and guests are allowed to select the room they wish from the inn’s website menu. Common areas include the Great Room on the first floor where breakfast is served and guests may unwind and watch the cable television. There are several small nooks in the second floor hallway where the Guest Business Center may be found with computer, printer and copier. The first floor pantry/laundry is off the Great Room and has plenty of storage and High Efficiency Washer/Dryer. It also has a private entrance and contains the stairway to the Owners’ Quarters.
