Columbus Street Inn is "Waiting to Welcome You" to a delightfully relaxing stay in Fayette, Alabama. The Inn is the perfect setting for all accommodation, meeting, and special event needs in the Fayette area. Columbus Street Inn is ideal for overnight and long-term business stays, quiet getaway weekends, and lodging for family events, holidays, and reunions. The Inn has four guestrooms, each tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings, many of which are period antiques. Located in a quiet, prestigious neighborhood, the Inn is less than a mile from the downtown business district of Fayette, area restaurants, recreational areas, and churches. Two of the guest rooms are located in the "Main House," which was built in 1870 and is considered to be one of the oldest existing structures in Fayette. Also in the "Main House" are a guest living room, guest dining room, and owners' quarters consisting of den, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. The other two guest rooms are located in the "Cottage" around the driveway. The "Cottage" was constructed in 1995 and consists of a living room, fully equipped kitchen/dining room and half-bath downstairs, with two guests rooms upstairs, each with private bath. Most furnishings remain with the Inn. An FEMA-approved underground emergency storm shelter was constructed onsite in 2012.
The Inn has been beatured in the last three editions of the Alabama Travel Department's "100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die" for its Strawberry Almond Belgian Waffles. The Inn will be sold turnkey, including website.
