7 Up Bar Guest Ranch $1,890,000

7 Up Bar Guest Ranch
An Historic Bed & Breakfast

(This is potential vineyard property with approximately 80 acres already cleared for vines. There are 5 wells on the property and it can be sub-divided into 4 or 7 parcels.)

Situated on 146 acres of rolling ranch land in the heart of the Fairplay Wine Country, the 7 Up Ranch has six rooms, each uniquely decorated in period Western styles. The rooms are tucked into the oak-studded hills in 3 log cabins. Each cabin has two separate units with private entry and private baths with tiled showers and pedestal sinks. Put your feet up on the shady veranda right outside your front door, sip a glass of wine and enjoy our spectacular Sierra Foothill sunsets. No TV or phones in the rooms, but we do offer group campfires during the proper seasons. We also have ping-pong and horseshoes for your enjoyment. Many times the ranch is booked by a group of friends who come up to spend the weekend together - taking over the main deck with barbecues and using the main cabin kitchen. Two of our rooms have King beds and four of the rooms have Queen beds, two with twin day beds to accommodate an extra guest. A full Country Ranch Breakfast is included with your stay and is served in the innkeepers main cabin or on our front deck, weather permitting. We do our best to accommodate our guests dietary needs while serving the most decadent food we can! As much as possible, we serve organic fare along with in-house roasted coffee. At breakfast you will meet some wonderful folks and enjoy good fellowship as well.

Wild life abounds on the ranch – deer, turkey, quail, raccoons, and many species of birds are permanent residents. Bird watching is a favorite past time for our guests. Wildflowers are in bloom most of the year. Trails and wilderness offer interesting hiking opportunities around the ranch. Spanish Creek seasonally offers rushing streams or calm pools set among moss rock and Cedar groves. Discover Snapping Turtle Pond where families of ducks live in harmony with the turtle and gaggles of geese land during migration. Travel a little further down the trail and view the Indian Grinding rocks from many years ago. Native Americans, known as the Maidu, undoubtedly inhabited the Ranch prior to the Gold Rush era.

The Ranch sits in the midst of 30 world class wineries, and that number is continuing to grow. Our hometown atmosphere will be immediately felt even upon your first visit to the area. Personally meet with the wine makers as you tour the beautiful vineyards, all very close by. Many events and wine maker dinners happen all through the year. We also have some exceptional dining houses in close proximity to the Ranch.

Pets are welcome for a $25 extra charge. Reservations are based on double occupancy and are subject to local tax. Advanced reservations with a valid Credit Card number will hold your room until your arrival. Cancellations require seven days notice for a refund, less $20 processing fee. If you must cancel with less than seven days notice, we will charge for the room but will send you a gift certificate for the original booking that you may use for up to one year. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Check in: 3pm – 6pm and check out is noon. Early or late arrivals by prior arrangement.
